Dyeing Process

After the printed cloths get dry, these are washed with water and spread out on the ground to dry in the sun.

A big copper dye pot containing water and alizarin is heated with fire. The dried cloths are added to the pot and dyed while stirring with two solid wooden sticks. And also dried flowers called dauri ke phool among local craftsmen are added while looking at the dyeing condition. This process takes four or five hours.
