Below is the description written by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vatsu Sangrahalaya

“Textiles were at the heart of the Indian Ocean economy and Indian craftsmen were renowned for their skill in textile manufacture, producing both every-day and high-end goods which were in demand in the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia.This cloth, printed in undyed woven cotton, was made in India, It was discovered in a medieval grave in Egypt, wrapped around the body of a foetus. Preserved by the dry climate, this piece is a remarkable survivor.”
